أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗاۖ ذَٰلِكَ رَجۡعُۢ بَعِيدٞ
A-izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaaban zaalika raj'um ba'eed
"What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)."
— Qaf (قٓ ), 50:3
أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗاۖ ذَٰلِكَ رَجۡعُۢ بَعِيدٞTransliteration: A-izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaaban zaalika raj'um ba'eed
Translation (Yusuf Ali): "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)."
This is verse 3 of Surah Qaf (قٓ , meaning "Qaf"), the 50th surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah with 45 total verses.
