فَحَقَّ عَلَيۡنَا قَوۡلُ رَبِّنَآۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ
Fahaqqa 'alainaa qawlu Rabbinaaa innaa lazaaa'iqoon
"So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins).
— As-Saffah (ٱلصَّافَّات), 37:31
فَحَقَّ عَلَيۡنَا قَوۡلُ رَبِّنَآۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَTransliteration: Fahaqqa 'alainaa qawlu Rabbinaaa innaa lazaaa'iqoon
Translation (Yusuf Ali): "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins).
This is verse 31 of Surah As-Saffah (ٱلصَّافَّات, meaning "Those Ranges in Ranks"), the 37th surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah with 182 total verses.
