ٱلْكَافِرُون
The Disbelievers
قُلۡ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
Qul yaaa-ayyuhal kaafiroon
Say: O ye that reject Faith!
لَآ أَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ
Laaa a'budu maa t'abudoon
I worship not that which ye worship,
وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ
Wa laaa antum 'aabidoona maaa a'bud
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٞ مَّا عَبَدتُّمۡ
Wa laaa ana 'abidum maa 'abattum
And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship,
وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ
Wa laaa antum 'aabidoona maaa a'bud
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
لَكُمۡ دِينُكُمۡ وَلِيَ دِينِ
Lakum deenukum wa liya deen
To you be your Way, and to me mine.
Surah Al-Kafirun is the 109th surah of the Quran with 6 verses. It is a Meccan surah. Below is the full text in Arabic with English translation by Yusuf Ali.
قُلۡ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَTransliteration: Qul yaaa-ayyuhal kaafiroon
Translation (Yusuf Ali): Say: O ye that reject Faith!
لَآ أَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَTransliteration: Laaa a'budu maa t'abudoon
Translation (Yusuf Ali): I worship not that which ye worship,
وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُTransliteration: Wa laaa antum 'aabidoona maaa a'bud
Translation (Yusuf Ali): Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٞ مَّا عَبَدتُّمۡTransliteration: Wa laaa ana 'abidum maa 'abattum
Translation (Yusuf Ali): And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship,
