ٱلۡفَلَق
The Daybreak
قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ
Qul a'oozu bi rabbil-falaq
Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn
مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
Min sharri maa khalaq
From the mischief of created things;
وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ
Wa min sharri ghaasiqin izaa waqab
From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads;
وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِي ٱلۡعُقَدِ
Wa min sharrin-naffaa-saati fil 'uqad
From the mischief of those who practise secret arts;
وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
Wa min sharri haasidin izaa hasad
And from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy.
Surah Al-Falaq is the 113th surah of the Quran with 5 verses. It is a Meccan surah. Below is the full text in Arabic with English translation by Yusuf Ali.
قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِTransliteration: Qul a'oozu bi rabbil-falaq
Translation (Yusuf Ali): Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn
مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَTransliteration: Min sharri maa khalaq
Translation (Yusuf Ali): From the mischief of created things;
وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَTransliteration: Wa min sharri ghaasiqin izaa waqab
