لَقَدۡ حَقَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكۡثَرِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ
Laqad haqqal qawlu 'alaaa aksarihim fahum laa yu'minoon
The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe.
— Ya-Sin (يٰسٓ ), 36:7
لَقَدۡ حَقَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكۡثَرِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَTransliteration: Laqad haqqal qawlu 'alaaa aksarihim fahum laa yu'minoon
Translation (Yusuf Ali): The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe.
This is verse 7 of Surah Ya-Sin (يٰسٓ , meaning "Ya-Sin"), the 36th surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah with 83 total verses.
