أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفۡتَرُونَ
Ulaaa'ikal lazeena khasirooo anfusahum wa dalla 'anhum maa kaanoo yaftaroon
They are the ones who have lost their own souls: and the (fancies) they invented have left them in the lurch!

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفۡتَرُونَTransliteration: Ulaaa'ikal lazeena khasirooo anfusahum wa dalla 'anhum maa kaanoo yaftaroon
Translation (Yusuf Ali): They are the ones who have lost their own souls: and the (fancies) they invented have left them in the lurch!
This is verse 21 of Surah Hud (هُود, meaning "Hud"), the 11th surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah with 123 total verses.
