ٱدۡخُلُوٓاْ أَبۡوَٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۖ فَبِئۡسَ مَثۡوَى ٱلۡمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
Udkhulooo abwaaba Jahannama khaalideena feehaa fabi'sa maswal mutakabbireen
"Enter ye the gates of Hell, to dwell therein: and evil is (this) abode of the arrogant!"
— Ghafar (غَافِر), 40:76
ٱدۡخُلُوٓاْ أَبۡوَٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۖ فَبِئۡسَ مَثۡوَى ٱلۡمُتَكَبِّرِينَTransliteration: Udkhulooo abwaaba Jahannama khaalideena feehaa fabi'sa maswal mutakabbireen
Translation (Yusuf Ali): "Enter ye the gates of Hell, to dwell therein: and evil is (this) abode of the arrogant!"
This is verse 76 of Surah Ghafar (غَافِر, meaning "The Forgiver"), the 40th surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah with 85 total verses.
