وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَهۡتَدُونَ
Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba la'allahum yahtadoon
And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might receive guidance.
— Al-Mu'minun (ٱلْمُؤْمِنُون), 23:49
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَهۡتَدُونَTransliteration: Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba la'allahum yahtadoon
Translation (Yusuf Ali): And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might receive guidance.
This is verse 49 of Surah Al-Mu'minun (ٱلْمُؤْمِنُون, meaning "The Believers"), the 23th surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah with 118 total verses.
