قَالَ يَٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ
Qaala yaaa Ibleesu maa laka allaa takoona ma'as saajideen
(Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?"
— Al-Hijr (ٱلْحِجْر), 15:32
قَالَ يَٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَTransliteration: Qaala yaaa Ibleesu maa laka allaa takoona ma'as saajideen
Translation (Yusuf Ali): (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?"
This is verse 32 of Surah Al-Hijr (ٱلْحِجْر, meaning "The Rocky Tract"), the 15th surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah with 99 total verses.
